Michael's Trading Room Summary

APR 25, 2024 AM

Stuff that is oversold is popping up on earnings (like TSLA). Things that are over-bought are getting sold off (like META). Anything "Interest Rate Sensitive" is in trouble.

Weighted Dollar / Yields Ratio - above 310; still see 350 in the cards. Not done yet.

INTERMARKET

T2104 - intraday - selling is mild.

T2123 - breaking down; path is still lower. Under the 55-day is just lower.

T2126 - bounced on 30-week; nothing "stable" yet. Still have a path of least resistance downward into the 200-day

WTI CRUDE - 79.11 PT & then we'll see. Still a short term short play.

GOLD (futures) - coming back down; Craig suggests that BOJ rate decision (hike) could rip gold.

Bit Coin - rejected 68k; still holding above 62k.

FX

Dollar (DXY) - hit 106 premarket. pulled back from it - but still looking bullish.

USDJPY - Rate Decision tonight.

BOJ 10Y Bonds - if 80 then 100 (meaning if 0.80 then 1.00%)... it's going there.

USDMXN - popping hard this moring.

EURJPY - Falling hard hourly. Still broke out on the weekly & making higher highs on weekly. Pulled back on the DXY ramp.

BONDS

TLT - hitting 87.50 hourly. 85 daily short PT still looks viable. Equities can fall with bonds now.

TNX - pushing higher. Above 4.688 (or 4.7%) is a threat for volatility.

ZN (10Y) - broke TL support & falling lower. Broken. 106 PT

ZT (2Y) - broke TL support & falling lower. Broken. 101 PT

INDEX

SPX - back above the 55-day; Still under the 21-day but near it. 5080 key level. 5050 also a key level. Above 5080 is bullish & below 5050 is bearish. Gap to fill at 5021. Sitting at 5000 hourly.

SPY - back above the 55-day; Still under the 21-day but near it. Nothing to see yet.

BXM - fallen; bollingers have opened; sitting on the 55-day. Does not look done. Looks more bearish than bullish.

QQQ - below the gap fill; has to get back above 420 to consider a long

VIX - 15 or 14.50 still looks good

CHASE

BABA needs to get above 75 to push into 79.8,81

META - META on the smaller timeframe, above 422 can see 433 & then 440 - potential reshort under 440. still looking for 400 in time though

TNX staying above 46.33 will pick up speed to the upside

SPX below 5000 we gave 4983

META approaching 400.50 target in time

TSLA above 164 we have 167.5 again

MSFT below 389 pushing down to 384

MNST below 52.24 next is 49.9

NVDA - expect weakness to come in based on META's comments on chips

HONORABLE MENTIONS

AVGO - looks more bullish than NVDA lol. Breaking 1217 offers 1151 weekly. Likely goes up first into 1307 & then rejects & falls. Nice short there. Wrong if it gets above that.

AMZN - once we tag that 55-day it's going to break. Not interested unless / until it tags the 50-week. Looks headed into 157 weekly but still consider this a long term long if it stays above 147

CAT - earnings dumped it. 333.60 weekly support; trying to bounce.

$C - Monthly 61.67 resistance. Channel chop; get above / stay above 63 daily.

DXCM - held well on weekly.

BABA - doing it 's work; Still has work to do. Still like this setup. Need patience.

GOOGL - catching a little intraday support; puts coming in. Has not fallen apart at all.

GLD - still the place to be; fading this morning. Still consider precious metals as a long.

GILD - dumped. A mess. Nothing is going to help this.

HON - bearish expansion bar. does not look great.

HCA - earnings tomorrow. still not safe. Could see the 200-day.

IBM - dropping.

ISRG - don't like it's look. should be hit with proxy earnings (from DXCM)

LRCX ... looks like the sam setup as AVGO.

META - great earnings but fell into Sam's PTs. Still looking at 400.50 daily. It's hit that after hours - but looking to hit it again in RTH. Premarket we are at 420. The gap to close was at 394.36$ so that gap could close. META 445.80 for scalps

MSFT - earnings after the close. Could see 384 before the close today.

NVDA - still no buyable dip yet. closed the "under 800" gap fill. NVDA - 823 resistance for scalps.

NEM - like miners & china longs; looks great. Above the 200-day; still need to see that MA turn higher. Like earnings in things that are over sold.

SNAP 18% move after hours.

SLV - gapped down weekly to 24.50 Keltner High. Resting at the 21-day MA. r2g.

TSLA - popped up even after bad earnings. Stuff that is oversold is popping up on earnings. Above 164 we'll go 167.50 PT.

XLU - not down much; like this for higher.

WEAT - hitting the 200-day.

VKTX - awesome. Earnings are done. Nothing new on the science side. 68.82 daily is the next level to get past.
