Michael's Trading Room Summary

APR 9, 2024 AM

Sam wrote in Slack ... #Intermarket Tells, #Macro to Micro & #Samantha's Market Thoughts ... take the time to review that. Still have CPI and FOMC minutes on deck this week. We have Fed Heads all week. GOLD / SILVER not slowing down... which makes Sam consider intervention on deck soon.

MAG7 - r2g - premarket. still holding the weekly highs; still sideways big picture.

Weighted Dollar / Yields Ratio - rejected 288 daily

IWF:IWD - Daily MACD still below zero; MACD line still under the signal line as well. Large Gap down in premarket (below 1.88). Value outperforming growth.

WTI CRUDE - failed to hit 88; still above 85. Breaking that offers 83.00$. Still bid. In the 99th percentile (with GOLD).

GOLD (futures) - sitting at 2350 again this morning; tried to push and faded back again.

Nat Gas - testing 2.00$ on some supply news. Still within a weekly range (along the weekly lows).

Bit Coin - down this morning; back below 72k. Range is getting tighter.

FX

Dollar (DXY) - daily channel 104 / 105. yesterday it was taking a rest. weak dollar helping QQQ's hold support.

USDJPY - Daily channel 151 / 152. Came really close to hitting 152 (again) this morning before fading back some. The BOJ -10Y ... "if 80 then 100" ... it's pushing there.

BONDS

TLT - r2g; gapped completely outside of yesterdays range. looks like it wants 92.00$. Still has a down-slopping 200-day MA.

TNX -Above 4.37 even after fading back a bit in the premarket. expecting this to get tapped back down.

ZN (10Y) - broke out of yesterdays range to the upside; still at 109-1/2 area. Could see a more durable bounce around the 108 area

ZT (2Y) - r2g; tried to breakout of yesterdays range & failed ... for now. gapped below the gap fill target. Could see a more durable bounce around the 101 area

INDEX

NYSE - breakout of yesterdays range failed (for now). Still holding the highs; still sideways. In distribution; starting to roll over. Don't like how it looks.

SPX - daily PMO indicator rolled over. Below 5215 should offer a resumption on the short into 5130.

SPY - 518; could see 510 if we get some drama this week.

QQQ - MAR 1 Sam warned that NASDAQ would be sideways; cheers. big time chop; even if it looks a little bullish. 440 is bounce area but don't trust it in the big picture. Love this. cont short.

VIX - not bullish until above 16.12 weekly

CHASE

GOOGL 155.6 hit above next is 160

SMCI still soggy below 917 we see 886

COIN below 249 can see 245,242.87

XME pushing 63.5, then 66

FSLR 185 resistance then 188

NKE above 90.2 next is 91.03,92

MSTR - heading to 1359 then 1280

QQQ below 439 down to 434.65

TSM above 147 can push into 150,155

SPX heading down to 5130

ANF pushing 117 target in time 113,110

NVDA below 860 down to 823

SWING

PALL - been doing well the last few days. Under the 200-day MA (down slopping MA). Bottom Fishing

PLG - broke above 1.22 weekly TL. Bottom Fishing

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Commodities trade still in full force; especially with minors. Commodities still very bullish. GOLD / SILVER ratio chart still the most bullish chart.

AMZN - still HOT. nothing wrong with that chart.

AMD - soggy. 159.72 lower PT.

ARM - complete rejection. Not holding the bounce; still see 165.70

AG - hit PT already; careful.

AAPL - not safe as a swing; still needs to develop a base or a pattern.

BABA - still under the 55-day MA. Weekly 68 needs to hold. Has some JAN LEAPS coming in.

BIDU - long entry above 110; Sam would wait for that to trigger.

COIN - good chase short; 21-day getting soggy(ier). 231 PT. Break hourly 243 to get into 229 daily

CHK - breakout cont to move higher.

DKS - warned "careful of retail" & cheers on that.

EWW - Weekly breakout. Like this.

FCX - still buyable; but approach with caution if there is a bond bounce; until then it is very firm.

FSLR - moving up strongly despite yields hanging in there. Only one pushing.

GDX - paused a little yesterday.

GOLD - 18.55 is the measured move.

GE - distribution.

GOOGL - weekly breakout. Coming into weekly Bollinger band top. Was a big one yesterday; cheers if you caught that. Cont to look good.

JD - needs to get above 28 weekly.

JWN - recovered really well;

MSTR - working;

META - 507 needs to break; 503.50 PT

MRNA - keep it above 105 area. Out of favor; hard to get excited about that. (Bird Flu stuff).

MREO - has not broken; Sam warned on the monthly. Could see 2.50 weekly. 2.95 breaking offers that 2.55 - a good place to likely take a long

NKE - like this for a bounce; called yesterday.

NIO - volume this morning; no trust.

$O - get back above 200-day MA.

ORCL - weakness. Below 124.60 is not a good look.

PANW - bouncing on the 50-week; calls coming in. Getting chased. 274.88 hourly PT. Scoop looks good.

NVDA - soggy. Still like the short into 823 weekly.

RARE - performing well. Needs a little push.

SAND - looks great

SMH - still in distribution mode; great. like this.

SBSW - hit the PT weekly (5.82). Has 50-week MA overhead. Jumped above the 200-day MA (down-slopping MA).

SLV - still hot; breaking above for a move into next PT 25.74.

SMCI - Broke 927; has not broken 886.

TSM - strong chart; above the 10-week. Looks like it wants to move higher.

VZ - has the look. 10/21 still going up. Evening Star reversal weekly. Has to break 40.40 weekly to cont lower.

VKTX - likely defended at the 55-day MA.

WPM - on it's way.

VNO - like this. Recommended June 2023. Weekly "scoop" pattern. Above the 55-day MA.

XME - 63PT and then 66 in time.
