Markets gapped into Sam’s 5080 level and failed to hold above
Market is still waiting on the mega cap tech plays before it decides
Bitcoin is above its averages but is still a threat for rollover
TLT pushing down to 87.93 if that breaks has no support till 83
VIX broke that key 17.71 Monday for the Turnaround Tuesday march higher in equities, but it is now approaching its 200D at 14.85 at the same time the USJPY is very active at 155 and the US 10Y is pushing into my LINE-IN-SAND 4.688 as bonds continue to sell off.
China continues its bullish bent, KWEB must hold above 27.9 to continue higher
Sector breakdowns in IYT + XLI + ITB + XLB... even XAR
XRT + XLV already failed
Commodities continue to roll over BUT haven't broken trend
Strongest: XLU + XLP + KWEB still holding...
BABA 74 tagged, really really needs to stay above for 76, 81
JD needs above 28 for 29.46
TSLA above 161 pushed into 167,5 target now needs to base over 163 for 171
ENPH needs above 115.5 if it wants momentum to 120
NFLX below 562 we tagged 558,555 next if THAT breaks then 537.68 incoming
UBER below 69.30 next is 67,65,63.5 in time
NVDA 823 doesn’t hold 799 next if it can hold 844 again
Michael's Trading Room Summary
APR 24, 2024 AM
MAG7 - gapped up above the 50-day MA. Could bounce all the way back to the 124 area ... could take a few weeks.
Weighted Dollar / Yields Ratio - still holding that 305 area
IWF:IWD - Still under all the daily MA's expect the 200-day. Growth bounce; has more room.
INTERMARKET
T2100 - a little red.
T2104 - bullish.
T2123 - a little flat.
WTI CRUDE - Closed above 83.00$ daily but still there this morning.
GOLD (futures) - Closed at the 20-day yesterday & still there this morning. Still under the 10-day. Taking a pause.
Nat Gas - Above 2.00 daily but down more than 2% this morning. Forming a Bearish Engulfing... above 2.13 area offers 2.3 area... but could reject here.
Bit Coin - above 10, 20, 50 day MA's but testing a breakdown of the 20-day. Losing it's energy. Still a roll-over threat.
FX
Dollar (DXY) - rallied back above the 10-day; still under 106. Chop; nothing exciting here except if we cont rolling down.
USDJPY - popped above 155 daily; faded back under. Still looks bullish. Still a threat of intervention. Markets could push above 5080 if BOJ does intervene. Digesting 155.
EURJPY - Still under the 20-day; fell back under 1.07. Mostly grinding sideways and holding the daily chart range lows
BONDS
TLT - gapped below 88.50. break 88 for a move into 85. Very Large Put Spread BOUGHT - today. 80/85 put spread. for JUNE.
TNX - pushing into Sam's resistance target. 4.688% is still the level to get above for "VIX forward"
10/2 curve; moving higher
INDEX
NYSE - looks a little bullish; tapping the 10-week... but that bullish behavior would suggest the 10Y comes back down & Sam can't believe we'd get that yet... so this likely does not stay bullish.
SPX - above 5080 is very bullish; 5050 is line to keep. Below that we have a gap lower to fill. 5057 PT;
SPY - Stilling above 505 is pretty helpful for the oversold bounce. Made it up to the 10-week. Now we need to get above it.
IWM - Still under the 10-week.
QQQ - 423 gap fill target. Above 425 is very productive. All bets are off if this fades under 425.
VIX - 15 or 14.85 PT.
SVXY - bullish market backdrop. Break 54 daily for a change in bias. Back above the 55-day MA.
CHASE
BABA 74 tagged, really really needs to stay above for 76, 81
JD needs above 28 for 29.46
TSLA - if TSLA breaks below 158 it comes down to 153. TSLA stays above 161 it can test 164,167. TSLA pushing 167.5 if that breaks 171
QQQ pushing to next target at 430.24
TLT pushing down to 87.93
SPX above 5080 we have 5111
NFLX below 562 we have 558 lower. NFLX 555 next if THAT breaks then 537.68 incoming

ENPH needs above 115.5 if it wants momentum to 120
HONORABLE MENTIONS
The market is over-sold and it's broken.
AMD - under the 55-day MA. Trying to push back above 152.40 weekly.
ASML - likely fades the move. Approved a new CEO at the annual meeting.
AVAV - looks great; nice squeeze. AVAV - Nice "scoop" pattern weekly
AAPL - Under the 55-day MA. Under the 21-day. 165.70 weekly is channel low. The 100-week MA is busted. This is trouble. 165 needs to hold.
BABA - hitting 74$ with no surprise. has to get above that & then 100-day MA & then the TR. Bottom is in at 68 weekly; The 10/21 weekly needs to stack & price needs to be above them for a textbook signal.
BIDU - was the highest conviction chase starting the week.
CELH - 69 weekly support. under the 55-day MA.
CR - just a great looking chart.
DJT - break 28 for a move into 18 daily.
KWEB - above the 200-day MA. Looks fabulous. 27.84 perfect tag weekly. Stay above 27 daily.
ENPH - tanked after hours. Trying to recover. Still under the 200-day MA.
JD - needs to get /stay above 28.00$.
JBHT - not a good look for trucking right now.
LULU - don't like it.
MSFT - bounced on the weekly MA. Fighting the 55-day MA.
META - back above 500. Got defended.
NVDA - 844.44 next higher PT. Left gaps below. Has a look; 799 is the next level lower on hourly.
NXPI - bounce; but still broken.
NFLX - really needs to break 555 for a good move lower. 537.68 needs to break for a huge air pocket below.
OSCR - health care plans. Nice "scoop" pattern weekly
RILY - testing the 200-day from below.
SNAP - no interest.
SMH - semi bounce was the high conviction callout starting the week. 213.36 weekly long PT nearly hit. resumed into the breakdown level.
TSLA - popped on earnings; Sam suggested it was more likely to bounce rather than fall even lower. Looks really good for a swing long (weekly) but this is TSLA & the week is not over... sitting at the 21-day. Breaking 161 daily offers 155 short. Stay above 161 daily.
TXN - a bell-weather. Get above 180.40 weekly. Not excited about it. naaa. No interest.
UNH - 503 weekly still resistance. Under the 200day MA. Be on alert; not so safe.
UNP - resting on the 200-day. break that for a move into 220. Earnings tomorrow.
UBER - broke the 21-week. Under the 55-day MA. Under the 100-day MA. Trend has broke down. Breaking 68.30 offers 65 or 63.50.
VRT - big expansion candle; stunning.
XPO - looks like the best short in trucking
ZIM - not a big fan of this one. Falling 50-week. Hold above 11.34 weekly
