How Tiffany Traded Marvel
Case in point: Thursday, Tiffany posted in her Slack channel for CLUB/EDGE clients, that she would be taking a position in MRVL for Friday based on the gamma structure.
Here is what she saw and how she traded it:
February 29th, AMD and other semis were breaking out after chopping around for a month. MRVL looked like it was ready to go and just needed to break above the trendline shown on the daily chart below. On the hourly chart squeeze momentum index was starting to curl up and there was good buying volume into end of day.
Gamma charts showed a ton of weekly calls with 75c being the gamma magnet.
I bought the weekly 74c for $0.17. I expected MRVL to gap up and sell off at 75 at the open so I sold around 0.87 and rolled some profits into March 15th 74c @4.85, expecting MRVL to push to 80 in the next few days. MRVL ended up closing at 77.61 on Friday and the 74c hit a high of $3.
